Belarusian Belenergo, Russia’s Bashkortostan discuss prospects for cooperation in energy

The Belarusian national energy company Belenergo hosted a delegation of the Bashkir Generation Company headed by Chairman of the Board - Director General Sergei Gurin, Chairman of the Bashkir Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on 9 February. The visit took place within the framework of the International Business Forum Belarus - Bashkortostan, BelTA has learned from Belenergo's official Telegram channel.

"During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current situation in the energy systems and outlined the vision of further development of the power grids in Bashkortostan and Belarus. The heads of the Belarusian companies briefed the guests about the opportunities and potential of their companies, the areas of activity and the projects successfully implemented, including in the Russian Federation. In turn, the representatives of the Bashkir Generation Company expressed interest in establishing contacts with Belenergo's organizations in order to study the use of advanced technologies in the design and construction of power grid facilities," the statement said.

The Bashkir delegation also visited the Minsk Cable Networks branch of Minskenergo, where power engineers exchanged experience in operating cable transmission lines in such megacities as Ufa and Minsk, and discussed the possible participation of Belarusian design and construction organizations in the design and construction of power grid facilities in Bashkortostan. The Russian colleagues also visited the 110kV Podlesnaya substation of the Minsk Cable Networks branch.
