Putin: All CIS countries advocate further integration

All CIS member states are in favor of further deepening of integration, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the CIS summit in Moscow on 8 October, BelTA has learned.

The CIS continues to develop and all CIS leaders are in favor of further deepening of integration, Vladimir Putin said.

“Our joint efforts are consistently strengthening the authority of the CIS as a regional integration association,” the Russian leader stressed. “The CIS member states act solely on the principles of mutual understanding, equality and good-neighborliness, successfully solving key tasks to improve the welfare and quality of life of our peoples”.

According to the Russian president, the CIS countries have both preserved and expanded economic, social, cultural and humanitarian ties developed over many years of living as a single state.
