Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Vietnam

On behalf of Belarusian people and himself, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam on Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The peoples of Belarus and Vietnam remember the great price our ancestors paid so that the present and future generations could live on their land, free and safe,” the congratulations read.

The head of state stressed that in today’s difficult conditions, the countries need solidarity, mutual support and trust more than ever in order to protect and preserve their identity, national sovereignty and independence, and effectively respond to external challenges.

“This is exactly what Minsk and Hanoi do as they promote a political dialogue, and this creates a solid, reliable foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation in all areas,” the president remarked.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished To Lam and his family excellent health and longevity, and the people of Vietnam - peace and unity.
