Lukashenko congratulates Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on re-election

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) — Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on a successful election campaign and his re-election for a second presidential term, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"I believe that this victory is a tribute to your excellent service and contribution to the development of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. Minsk and Algeria are actively participating in the Non-Aligned Movement and sharing views on such important issues as building a just multipolar world, unacceptability of interference in sovereign countries' affairs, and countering politically motivated sanctions pressure. Common goals contribute to mutual understanding between our peoples, transparency of bilateral relations, which are traditionally sincere and friendly," the message of congratulations reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko confirmed his readiness to pay a state visit to Algeria in the near future. "I hope that during a face-to-face meeting we will be able to outline joint steps aimed at expanding Belarus-Algeria cooperation in various areas," the president emphasized.
