Lebedev: CIS summit will be held in Moscow on 8 October

The heads of state of the CIS countries are scheduled to meet in Moscow on 8 October, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev told the media following the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

He informed the media about the main results of the meeting and announced the coming events.

Sergei Lebedev stressed: "The main event will be the CIS summit which will be hosted by Moscow on 8 October. A regular meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council will be held and on the eve (a decision was made today)."

The CIS ministerial meeting in Minsk brought together delegations of nine countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The CIS foreign ministers approved the institution of the single jubilee medal "80 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" and also signed a number of documents.
