Belarus confirms support for UNGA draft resolution on CSTO, UN cooperation

During the working lunch of the CSTO foreign ministers in New York, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov confirmed Belarus' interest in and support for the draft resolution of the UN General Assembly on cooperation between the CSTO and the UN, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the event, the participants demonstrated “readiness to openly discuss the most difficult and hot topics on the Organization's agenda.”


“Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov confirmed Belarus' interest in and support for the draft resolution of the UN General Assembly on cooperation between the CSTO and the UN. Its promotion is one of the tasks of the Belarusian delegation at the 79th session of the UNGA,” the ministry said.


An open dialogue on interaction between the CSTO member states took place as part of the implementation of priorities at the 79th session of the UNGA. The agenda included the 2nd Minsk Conference on Eurasian Security.
