Mir chairman shares his impressions of interview with Lukashenko

Aleksandr Lukashenko is well aware of all the development stages of Belarus’ economic and political ties, Radik Batyrshin, Chairman of the Interstate TV and Radio Company Mir shared his thoughts with journalists after the interview with the Belarusian president on 8 April, BelTA has learned.

The head of the TV and Radio company emphasized the importance of the fact that the first interview Aleksandr Lukashenko gave after reelection as President was to the Mir TV and Radio Company.

He said that among the topics raised during the interview were the development of the Belarusian economy, integration within the Union State, the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS.

“I was impressed first of all by the head of state’s detailed knowledge of all the development stages of Belarus’ economic and political ties,” Radik Batyrshin emphasized. “This also concerned security issues within the Union State.”

The conversation was also about the difficult processes taking place in the world, the chairman of the Interstate TV and Radio Company Mir said. “It is clear that the explosive nature of the global situation will affect the economy not only of Belarus, but also of other CIS countries. I was struck by Aleksandr  Grigoriyevich’s [Lukashenko] response: “Let’s observe and see”. This also applied to the tariff war, which is feverishly affecting all world stock exchanges and which was initiated by President Trump,” Radik Batyrshin pointed out, emphasizing the president's encyclopedic knowledge of all the details of the topics touched upon during the interview.
