PHOTOfact: National Unity Day is celebrated in Belarus

Today the Republic of Belarus celebrates National Unity Day. It was established on June 7, 2021 by Decree No. 206 of the head of state Alexander Lukashenko - reports BelTA.

The celebration is timed to coincide with the beginning of the Red Army's liberation campaign in Western Belarus in 1939, as a result of which the Belarusian people, divided under the terms of the Riga Peace Treaty, were reunited again.
