Belarus and Russia have created a single agricultural market, which solved the problems related to the access of Belarusian enterprises to the Russian market. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Yury Shuleika during his visit to the Prodexpo-2025 exhibition in Moscow, BelTA informs.

Shuleiko emphasised that Belarus acts as a strategic partner of Russia in the food sector and announced the upcoming negotiations with the Russian government on balances of mutual food supplies. ‘Yes, it has been created,’ he noted, referring to the single agricultural market of the Union State.
The deputy prime minister pointed out that adjustments were being made on both sides to improve the quality and safety of products. He added that it was now inappropriate to talk about ‘closing’ or ‘opening’ of enterprises for supplies to the Russian market. There is monitoring, which provides equal access to quality products for both Russian and Belarusian buyers.
Yuri Shuleiko also noted that there is healthy competition between Belarusian and Russian food producers. ‘There was and is competition, each state has its own goals in the development of sensitive areas, and food is an important area. Today we have a healthy competition,’ he added.
At the Prodexpo-2025 exhibition, Deputy Prime Minister and Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Alexander Rogozhnik toured the exposition of Belarusian producers, organised by the Belinterexpo unitary enterprise under the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. More than 70 food producers from Belarus are participating in the exhibition this year.
‘Prodexpo’ is the largest international food and beverage exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe, featuring food from all over the world, including organic and sports nutrition, halal and kosher products, as well as alcoholic beverages and wines from more than 30 countries. Producers often time the launch of new products, trademarks and brands to coincide with Prodexpo.
