PM: Trade between Belarus, St. Petersburg as part of manufacturing cooperation triples

Over the past few years, the trade between Belarus and St. Petersburg as part of manufacturing cooperation has tripled, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin told the media following a meeting with the delegation of St. Petersburg headed by Governor Alexander Beglov in Minsk on 14 July, BelTA  learned.

The dialogue with the delegation of St. Petersburg was friendly, and you have no topics off limits with friends, Aleksandr Turchin stressed. “Today, we, being true friends, discussed the prospects, some technicalities and solutions. Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and St. Petersburg is coordinated by the Business Cooperation Council. In general, I believe that this is one of the most successful forms of cooperation between a region of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus,” he said.

High-tech manufactures and IT are one of the major areas of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and St. Petersburg. "The competences of our countries allow us to aim for new highs, to ensure the technological sovereignty of our countries," Aleksandr Turchin said. “Cooperation between St. Petersburg and Belarus is an example of partnership at the highest level.”
