Over 800,000 tonnes of potatoes harvested in Belarus

Belarusian farms have harvested more than 801,500 tonnes of potatoes, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

Some 8,981,200 tonnes of grain crops and rapeseed have been cropped in Belarus.

Harvesting of corn kernels is underway in all the regions of the country, with 188,900 hectares of land already cleared. Some 1,553,800 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 82.3 centners per hectare.

Some 22,117,900 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

The country's farms are completing harvesting potatoes. A total of 801,500 tonnes of potatoes have been cropped with the average yields of 350.7 centers per hectare.

Sugar beet harvesting is also in progress in Belarus. Some 3,391,000 tonnes of sugar beet were removed, with the yields standing at 467.8 centners per hectare.

Belarus has harvested a total of 145,600 tonnes of vegetables, with the yields averaging 297.1 centners per hectare.
