Over 5m tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, harvested in Belarus

All in all, 5.178 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, were threshed in the country, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 13 August, cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat and millet) were harvested from the area of 1.26 million hectares, which is 65.8% of the designated area. Some 4.255 million tonnes of grain have been threshed, showing average yields of 33.8 centners per hectare.

Winter rapeseed for grain was cut on 325,100 hectares of land or 99.2% of the targeted area, with 922,800 tonnes threshed with yields averaging 28.4 centners per hectare.

Flax was pulled from 35,700 hectares, which is 81.9% of the area under this crop. Flax strips were turned on the area of 12,800 hectares (35.7% of the harvested). Flax was baled on 4,420 hectares (10.14% of the harvested area).
