Belarus' vegetable harvest at 123,700 tonnes

Belarus has harvested a total of 123,700 tonnes of vegetables, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 19 October, some 8,749,200 tonnes of grain crops and rapeseed were cropped in Belarus.

Harvesting of corn kernels is underway in all the regions of the country, with 162,700 hectares of land already cleared. Some 1,325,100 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 81.4 centners per hectare.

Some 21,022,100 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Belarus harvested 761,900 tonnes of potatoes. The yields average 352.5 centners per hectare.

Sugar beet harvesting is also in progress in Belarus. Some 2,775,000 tonnes of sugar beet were removed, with the yields standing at 461.7 centners per hectare.

Belarus has harvested a total of 123,700 tonnes of vegetables, with the yield averaging 280.8 centners per hectare.
