Belarus harvests over 9.2m tonnes of grain

Belarus has harvested over 9.2 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 3 November, some 9,231,700 tonnes of grain crops and rapeseed were cropped in Belarus.

Harvesting of corn kernels is underway in all the regions of the country, with 217,900 hectares of land already cleared. Some 1,804,000 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 82.8 centners per hectare. Some 22,613,800 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Sugar beet harvesting is in progress in Belarus. Some 4,020,100 tonnes of sugar beet were removed, with the yields standing at 476.4 centners per hectare.

Belarus has harvested a total of 162,600 tonnes of vegetables from the area of 5,290 hectares.

Some 9,133,500 tonnes of grass was stocked, which is 94.5% of the target.
