Belarus' grain harvests exceeds 9.3m tonnes

As of 6 November Belarus harvested over 9,317,300 tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

Harvesting of corn kernels is underway in all the regions of the country, with 227,800 hectares of land already cleared. Some 1,889,600 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 82.9 centners per hectare. Some 22,718,900 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Sugar beet harvesting is in progress in Belarus. Some 4,266,100 tonnes of sugar beet were removed, with the yields standing at 480 centners per hectare.

Belarus has harvested a total of 165,700 tonnes of vegetables from the area of 5,360 hectares.

Some 9,179,400 tonnes of grass was stocked, which is 94.9% of the target.
