Belarus' grain harvest reaches 9.2m tonnes

Belarus has harvested almost 9.2 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 2 November, some 9,186,900 tonnes of grain crops and rapeseed were cropped in Belarus.

Harvesting of corn kernels is underway in all the regions of the country, with 212,500 hectares of land already cleared. Some 1,759,200 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 82.8 centners per hectare. Some 22,561,700 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Sugar beet harvesting is in progress in Belarus. Some 3,920,400 tonnes of sugar beet were removed, with the yields standing at 474.3 centners per hectare.

Belarus has harvested a total of 156,400 tonnes of vegetables from the area of 5,190 hectares.
