Belarus' grain harvest exceeds 9m tonnes

Belarus has harvested over 9 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 31 October, some 9,096,200 tonnes of grain crops and rapeseed were cropped in Belarus.
Harvesting of corn kernels is underway in all the regions of the country, with 201,900 hectares of land already cleared. Some 1,668,600 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 82.7 centners per hectare.
Some 22,400,000 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.
Sugar beet harvesting is in progress in Belarus. Some 3,734,300 tonnes of sugar beet were removed, with the yields standing at 472 centners per hectare.
Belarus has harvested a total of 150,600 tonnes of vegetables from the area of 5,040 hectares.
