"A parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan is visiting Belarus, the fraternal state, and it is with great pleasure that we meet with the leaders of the parliament and representatives of the executive branch. We also plan to visit a number of enterprises in Minsk Oblast. There are a number of areas that we need to work on harder, even though the bilateral trade is high," Farid Mukhametshin said.
Farid Mukhametshin expressed special gratitude to the Belarusian manufacturers of agricultural machinery. "I bow low to you for Belarus tractors, for the mineral fertilizers that we buy from you. They operate successfully in the agricultural sector of Tatarstan," he stressed.
Farid Mukhametshin also noted that the countries have a lot in common, in particular, the historical past. "This brings us closer together. The example is set by our leaders - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko. Just the other day they met and set the tasks. We have come over to you to fulfill the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries. I think that there is an interesting, big work ahead," Farid Mukhametshin summed up.
