Kochanova: Belarus and Russia are inseparable

MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia are inseparable, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova said during a meeting with Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum in st Petersburg, Russia, BelTA has learned.

"We are happy to be here in St. Petersburg. This is a unique event as it unites women from different countries in an effort to make this world a better place," Natalya Kochanova said.
"It is very important that at such a difficult historical moment in the life of our countries, we stand by each other. It is impossible to divide us, because these are our roots, history, mentality and attitude to each other. We are uniquely lucky to have great leaders - the presidents who think about their peoples, about the future of their countries, and live by it,” she said and urged to provide all possible support in solving the tasks that the countries are facing.

Belarus and Russia will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Union State Treaty in December. "This unique decision has already yielded results: 28 roadmaps, increased cooperation in all areas and the main guidelines to implement Union State Treaty in 2024-2026," Natalya Kochanova emphasized. “We keep monitoring the progress towards the goals to ensure further development of our countries.”

The Eurasian Women's Forum is an influential international dialog platform for women-leaders from all continents. The forum develops joint solutions on topical issues of international cooperation, sustainable economic development, mastering new technologies, ensuring healthy lifestyles and environmental safety, and promoting social charity projects. Participating in the forum are women parliamentarians, entrepreneurs, representatives of executive authorities, international organizations, business circles, scientific community, public organizations and charitable projects, authority figures of the international women's movement from many countries of the world.

The forum is organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia and the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
