Belarus, Russia strengthen cooperation in Union State security

Moscow is playing host to the consultations between the offices of the Security Councils of Belarus and Russia on 30-31 October, BelTA learned from the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus.

Belarus is headed by Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Neverovsky. The Belarusian delegation held a meeting with Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Vakhrukov. The agenda of the event includes joint work to prepare a draft security concept for the Union State, as well as current issues of bilateral cooperation in information security.

Given the aggravation of the military-political situation around Belarus and Russia, the parties emphasized the importance of working together to counter modern challenges and threats.
