Belarus-Russia military technology cooperation agreement ratified by parliament's upper chamber

The Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus has passed the bill on ratifying the agreement between the government of the Republic of Belarus and the government of the Russian Federation on realizing a program on military technology cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation till 2025, BelTA has learned.

The agreement's ratification will allow implementing the program on military technology cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation till 2025.

In the medium term the program provides for mutual shipments of military products in the interests of defense, security, and law enforcement agencies of Belarus and Russia. It also provides for organizing R&D work on creating new and modernizing existing weapons in addition to pursuing a unified policy with regard to the technical rate setting, standardization, and cataloging of defense products. Belarus and Russia will also implement projects together in the interests of third countries. Participation in events of military technology cooperation projects in Belarus and Russia is part of the package.
