Belarus, Russia discuss military cooperation

A meeting of the joint board of the Defense Ministries of Belarus and Russia was held in Moscow, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

The parties exchanged views and made decisions on important issues of joint defense policy and looked into ways of expanding military cooperation between the Armed Forces of Belarus and Russia in order to ensure military security of the Union State.

The ministers of Belarus and Russia and members of the board discussed topical issues of cooperation focusing on the interaction between the Armed Forces of Belarus and Russia to counter attempts to falsify the history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The status of the joint action plan to ensure military security of the Union State for 2022-2024 was reviewed.

The parties also discussed the activities of the combat training centers for Air Force and Air Defense personnel of Russia and Belarus, the use of regional group of troops (forces) and the interaction of the Armed Forces of Belarus and Russia in electronic warfare.
