Belarus reaffirms commitment to promoting relations with Russia's Bashkortostan

Belarus will do its utmost to promote relations with Bashkortostan, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at a meeting with the head of Russia's Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov in Ufa, BelTA has learned.

"Our relations have intensified significantly over the past year. Almost a year has passed since my last visit to Ufa. We hosted you in Minsk early this year. We discussed specific topics and set clear tasks, the results of which we can observe today. I would also like to thank you for delivering the high-quality Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia this summer. More than 100 agreements and contracts were signed during this event alone. It should be noted that almost half of them was signed with Bashkortostan partners," Roman Golovchenko said.

On 11 October Bashkortostan celebrates the Republic Day . "We are meeting on this important day and this shows that relations between Belarus and Bashkortostan have a special dimension and a special importance. This gives a certain sense of solemnity to our meeting. I thank you for taking the time to hold talks with the Belarusian delegation on this most important day for the republic. Taking this opportunity, I would like to wish Happy Republic Day to you, members of the government and all residents of Bashkortostan and wish you peace, prosperity and well-being. It is a great honor for us to be your guests on this significant day, and I would like to assure you that Belarus is always ready to extend a helping hand, if necessary, and do everything possible to advance our relations," the Belarusian prime minister said.
