Belarus’ CEC: 96,000 Russians are entitled to vote at local elections

A total of 96,000 citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in Belarus are entitled to vote at the 2024 local elections in Belarus, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Igor Karpenko told reporters at the CEC Information Center, BelTA has learned.

“All in all, according to the population register, 96,000 citizens of the Russian Federation are included in the voting lists,” said Igor Karpenko.

According to him, citizens of the Russian Federatin are also running for seats at local councils.
