From the 1st of May, the size of the subsistence minimum budget will increase in Belarus

From the 1st of May, the size of the minimum subsistence budget will be raised in Belarus. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.

The resolution of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection approved the size of the minimum subsistence budget on average per capita and for the main socio-demographic groups for the period from the 1st of May to the 31st of July 2025. Thus, the average per capita minimum subsistence budget is set at Br462.58.

The department said this is a 3.3% increase compared to the regulation in force from the 1st of February to the 30th April 2025.

In connection with changes in the minimum subsistence budget, the various allowances and increases built into the social protection system, as well as individual social benefits calculated on the amount of the minimum subsistence budget, are automatically revised.
