On the eve, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak discussed steps to deepen integration within the framework of the Union State, interaction in trade, economic and energy sectors, terms of energy supplies, as well as the formation of a joint market for oil and gas, reported the press services of the governments of Belarus and Russia.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister calls Belarus a closest ally and strategic partner.
"We sincerely value our fraternal relations built on the principles of good neighbourliness, mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests," Alexander Novak said.
Among the topics of the meeting were work on deepening integration within the Union State, formation of a united oil and gas market, interaction in the trade, economic and energy sectors, terms of energy supplies.
