In total, the orchard will consist of 411 apple trees. 186 trees have already been planted (93 of the Belorusskoye Sladkoe variety and 93 – Syabryna variety).
The remaining 225 trees of five varieties will be planted on the cleanup day.
The head of state has a special warm attitude towards his hometown. "My heart belongs to this corner of Belarus. This is my place of power. This land, the people who live in it, taught me to love my country and my people. I will never tire of thanking my hometown for the happy childhood and youth. For the energy that this land still feeds me today," he said at the Kupala (Alexandria Gathers Friends) festival in July of last year.
For example, on the cleanup day in 2018, Aleksandr Lukashenko and his three sons worked on the improvement of Trofimov’s Spring near the agro-town of Alexandria. Spruced up, this place has become popular not only among locals, but also tourists.
In 2021, on the national cleanup day, the head of state helped landscape the green space around the site hosting the popular festival Alexandria Gathers Friends held annually in Kupala.
