Lukashenko, Putin discuss upcoming CSTO summit over phone

On 1 November, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The main topic of the conversation was the upcoming CSTO summit in November. Belarus is currently holding the chairmanship of the organization.

The leaders of the countries also discussed the bilateral cooperation focusing on the main areas, including energy and import substitution projects.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also compared notes on the topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
