Lukashenko off to Pakistan on official visit

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has left for Pakistan on an official visit, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled to hold talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The meeting will be held in a narrow format and in an expanded format with the participation of members of the delegations. The parties will consider the most promising areas of cooperation and discuss a joint action plan for the future. 

The main focus is on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with an emphasis on practical steps to develop trade and economic cooperation.

A separate focus is on the topic of regional and global security, interaction in integration associations and joint work on international platforms.

Following the negotiations, it is planned to sign a package of documents.
