The President remarked that the session was taking place on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Union State Foundation Treaty.
“Today one can state with confidence that in 1999 our calculations turned out to be true: only as part of the Union State we have managed to realize the entire accumulated experience and potential as much as possible on principles of mutual trust and partnership,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
In his words, the established bilateral relations demonstrate “the powerful force of mutual attraction based on the common language and the common scientific and technological heritage, similar mentalities and cultural traditions, the common history.”
“Unique world experience has been created: ‘two countries – two economies – one economic space’. This experience has been tested by time and has proven its tenability,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stated.
