Lukashenko attending Dazhynki festival in Klimovichi

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is attending the Dazhynki harvest festival in the town of Klimovichi, Mogilev Oblast, on 16 November, BelTA has learned. The head of state will present awards to the winners of the harvesting competition.

The Dazhynki festival and fair is the main agricultural festival in the region. During the festival the results of the harvesting season are assessed and the best workers are honored. Not only cultural workers, but also trade representatives will create a festive atmosphere: visitors to the festival will be offered a wide range of products. The total length of the shopping arcades will be almost 600 meters.
A reminder, the president has already visited the Dazhynki festival in other regions of the country. The festival was held in Mikashevichi (Brest Oblast), Korma (Gomel Oblast), Volozhin (Minsk Oblast), Mosty (Grodno Oblast) and Polotsk (Vitebsk Oblast).
Aleksandr Lukashenko announced his plans to visit the festival in all the regions of the country when he was in Mikashevichi. He said that this way he would be able to appreciate and thank rural workers for their contribution to food security. “You are the lifeblood of our country. You saved this country and hold it on your shoulders in the most difficult times,” the president said explaining the reasons for his decision.
