Belarus is continuously improving the quality of tourist services to encourage tourists to come back with their families and friends, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko said at an opening ceremony for the international fair of tourism services Leisure 2024 in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
"We are actively developing domestic tourism, and Belarusians are getting to know their country more. Since the beginning of this year, we have dedicated every month to a new type of tourism: educational tourism in January, health and medical - February, industrial - March, and business - April. We are actively promoting all types of tourism," Igor Petrishenko said.
In the year of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, patriotic tourism comes into the spotlight. "Belarusians always honor the feat of their ancestors who defended the peace and independence of the country," the deputy prime minister said.
Belarus is very interested in attracting more tourists. "It is important that they see how our country lives. From year to year, we improve the quality of tourist services to encourage guests to visit Belarus again," Igor Petrishenko emphasized. “Every region of our country has its own thing and a so-called golden ring. All this will be demonstrated during the three-day exhibition."
