The first cases of an unknown infection were recorded in the Canadian province of New Brunswick.

The disease, unknown to science, affects mainly young people. It manifests itself in a rapid decline in cognitive functions, for example, in the deterioration of memory. Also, the disease is characterized by muscle spasms, weight loss, disruption of the vestibular apparatus, pain in the limbs, rapidly progressive dementia and various psychiatric manifestations. Finally, patients periodically experience hallucinations.

According to doctors, the disease that appeared in the province of New Brunswick is somewhat similar to a dangerous disease called "mad cow disease". This is a rare degenerative disease of the brain that can affect a person of any gender, race, nationality and age.

It is noteworthy that the first cases were registered about two years ago. Today there are about fifty of them and 8 persons passed away.
