Reservists to participate in two-day exercise of Belarusian air defense units

A tactical exercise for the 120th Air Defense Missile Brigade is in progress under the leadership of Chief of the Air Force and Air Defense Command of Belarus’ Armed Forces, Major-General Andrei Lukyanovich, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The purpose of the exercise is to improve practical skills of commanding officers and staff officers as they control army units and formations, improve skills of the brigade personnel in the course of carrying out combat missions and effectively using weapons, military hardware, and special hardware, Andrei Lukyanovich said.
The major-general added that the exercise will take place in five districts over the course of two days. For the first time Air Force and Air Defense units will employ a large number of reservists in order to carry out such missions.
New ways of using the air defense missile systems Buk will also be practiced over the course of the military exercise. Close attention will be paid to repulsing air attacks, including drone strikes, to increasing the survivability of army units, to deployment in the field, camouflaging, and counteraction of sabotage and reconnaissance forces of the simulated enemy.
