Security in Belarus is maintained by all branches of security, defense and law enforcement agencies, Internal Affairs Minister Ivan Kubrakov told the ONT TV channel, BelTA informs.

According to Ivan Kubrakov, the work of law enforcement agencies is not always visible. “We see only about 20-30% of the work – and this work is done by people employed by the police, those who maintain road safety and public order. Most of employees on duty are operatives who secretly receive information,” he noted.

The Internal Affairs Ministry is trying to work ahead of the curve, i.e. to prevent crimes on the territory of Belarus. “In our country the focus is on prevention. The police alone cannot ensure security, so all branches of security, defense and law enforcement agencies of the country are involved in this work,” the minister concluded.
