Financial watchdogs of Belarus and Russia share best anti-corruption practices

The financial watchdogs of Belarus and Russia held a joint seminar to discuss ways of improving the integrity environment by streamlining anti-corruption measures on 14 November, BelTA learned from the State Control Committee of Belarus.

The web-based seminar was attended by Deputy Chairman of Belarus' State Control Committee - Director of the Financial Investigation Department Igor Marshalov and auditor of Russia's Accounts Chamber Svetlana Orlova.

Representatives of the financial watchdogs emphasized the importance of combating corruption, and exchanged best practices in anti-corruption efforts and use of digital technologies for the development of anti-corruption practices.

The seminar also addressed the issues of promoting the principles of openness, transparency and accountability in the field of public financial management.
