CSTO Defense Ministers Council to meet in Minsk on 25 May

The CSTO Defense Ministers Council is set to meet in Minsk on 25 May, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said at a working meeting of the heads of international military cooperation units of the Armed Forces of the CSTO member states, BelTA has learned.

The minister said that everyone present at the meeting voiced their vision for the state and prospects of cooperation within the organization. “This will make it possible to develop a common concept aimed at further development and strengthening, taking into account new challenges and threats. I am confident that you will convey the position voiced by the Belarusian side to your colleagues, whom I will be happy to see in Minsk on 25 May as part of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council meeting,” Viktor Khrenin said.

According to the minister, the results of today's meeting will serve as a basis for further implementation of the decisions of the statutory bodies of the organization. Viktor Khrenin wished everyone fruitful work and implementation of the outlined plans aimed at the development of defense agencies and strengthening the defense component of the CSTO in general.
