Belarusian army begins snap inspection of tactical nuclear weapon delivery vehicles

Upon orders of the Belarus president the country’s Armed Forces have launched a snap inspection of delivery vehicles of non-strategic nuclear weapons, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

“Today we’ve received an order from the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Belarus to carry out a snap inspection of the forces and assets that carry non-strategic nuclear weapons. A squadron of operational-tactical missile systems Iskander and a squadron of Su-25 aircraft have been brought to readiness to carry out missions. The inspection will proceed on the schedule specified by the commander-in-chief. All kinds of steps will be taken during the inspection starting with planning, preparations and the employment of strikes with tactical nuclear munitions,” Belarusian Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Viktor Khrenin said.
