Russia’s Yakutia interested in expanding purchases of Belarusian machinery

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik held negotiations with Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolayev on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian Federation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

"Yakutia's enterprises are among major customers of BelAZ. Taking into account the inexhaustible resources of the region, we expect to increase the volumes and range of supplies of machine building products. Yakuts are also interested in expanding the supply range of our equipment. We agreed that it is necessary to work on the creation of a multi-brand service center to achieve these goals", the press service said.

The parties confirmed their interest in certain projects on direct supplies of Belarusian food and consumer goods, exchange of experience in information technology, resort treatment and recuperation of Yakutia's residents. The two sides also discussed patriotic tourist routes to Belarus, including to the places of military glory of Yakut soldiers.
