Russia's Orenburg Oblast interested in MAZ vehicles

Russia's Orenburg Oblast is interested in purchasing equipment made by Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark), BelTA learned from the press service of the company.

A delegation from Orenburg headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy of the region Dmitry Kulakov visited Minsk Automobile Plant to study the model lineup and assembly stages of the MAZ chassis as the region has plans to purchase dump trucks and road sweepers from the company.

The delegation also had another task: the head of the Orenburg city administration gave an instruction to study trolleybus production capacities of MAZ, since next year the city plans to upgrade this type of transport. Therefore, the delegation was also told about the production capacity of passenger vehicles.

Minsk Automobile Plant is one of Belarus' largest mechanical engineering companies. It specializes in making heavy-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and trailing units. MAZ vehicles are compliant with the environmental standards Euro-3, 4, 5, and 6. The company makes a total of over 500 models and 3,000 modifications of tractor units, dropside trucks, and chassis for mounting various kinds of equipment.
