Projects involving direct ties between regions of Belarus and Russia will be transformed and scaled up, BelTA learned from Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko at a session of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Russia's Pskov Oblast.

Igor Petrishenko said: “The projects that involve direct interregional ties and interaction between Vitebsk Oblast and Pskov Oblast represent something that we will transform, scale up, and pull up other regions, which have also signed the relevant direct agreements with the Pskov Oblast administration. For instance, the Brest Oblast Executive Committee and our Pskov colleagues have signed one. A plan is being worked out now. And I think we will involve others. Our colleagues and friends from Pskov intend to sign such documents. Because every region of ours has certain peculiarities, which are important and necessary for our colleagues from Pskov Oblast.”

The session of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Russia's Pskov Oblast is part of the program of the Pskov Oblast Days in Vitebsk. Business events, cultural events, and youth events will take place in the city on 28-30 July.
