Belarus, Russia’s Altai discuss cooperation in infrastructure development, product supply

Belarus and Russia’s Altai Republic discussed cooperation in infrastructure development and product supply during the 5th meeting of the working group on cooperation between the parties, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

The meeting was led by Belarusian Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ivan Prikhodko and Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Alexander Prokopyev.

Attending the meeting on the Belarusian side were Sergei Telezhinsky, Head of the branch office of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia in Novosibirsk, representatives of the Industry Ministry and the State Authority for Military Industry, and heads of some industrial enterprises.

The parties stressed the need for further expansion of bilateral trade and economic, scientific, humanitarian and cultural cooperation.

"We have a lot of interesting proposals in infrastructure development, supply of equipment, products of mechanical engineering, light and food industries. We are open to discussing them in detail, including in the context of our participation in major infrastructure projects that are in the pipeline or already underway in the Altai Republic," Ivan Prikhodko stated.

He invited the representatives of the Russian region to attend the My Belarus exhibition celebrating the country’s milestones over 30 years of its sovereignty and to take part in the 3rd International Ecology Expo, which will be held in August 2025.
