Piotr Parkhomchik noted that Belarus and the Chuvash Republic have built a smooth system of product supplies. “There is still room for growth in our cooperation. For example, we regularly buy railway castings from a Chuvash enterprise. Indeed, both Belarus and Russia are interested in ramping up the production of freight railway cars,” the vice-premier noted.
According to him, the Chuvash Republic supplies 300-315 railcar sets to Belarus every month. “We are ready to take it to 550-600. If you help us create such an enterprise in Belarus, it will definitely be a win-win. We are ready to do this,” said Piotr Parkhomchik. “Simultaneously, we are discussing the construction of such a plant in Belarus with our Chinese partners,” he added.
Casting has always been in short supply in the post-Soviet space. More than 40% of railway castings were produced by Ukraine, so it is necessary to invest in this industry and increase the output of this type of products, the deputy prime minister remarked.
