Belarus, Russia, and Türkiye are considering building a factory to make reinforced concrete structures together. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik made the relevant statement at a plenary session of the Belarusian-Turkish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Ankara, Türkiye, BelTA has learned.

Sergei Aleinik said: “We have to achieve maximum results also due to challenges of technology-related and artificial nature. Within the framework of economic diplomacy for the sake of minimizing consequences of a devastating earthquake by restoring the affected areas in Türkiye this year we have managed to triple deliveries of Belarusian construction materials and other products. We will step up this work with the existing partners and are interested in establishing business ties with new business partners.”

The Belarusian minister of foreign affairs and the Turkish one discussed the matter in detail and agreed to continue joint work aimed at facilitating the restoration of the devastated territories and the destroyed social infrastructure.

According to Sergei Aleinik, a trilateral project of Belarus, Russia, and Türkiye for designing and building a factory to make reinforced concrete structures in the Turkish city of Kilis is in the initial stage. “We hope that this project will also be a good contribution to the restoration of Türkiye's regions that have been affected by the earthquake,” he stressed.
