Memory Train to depart from Brest on 22 June

The Memory Train will depart from Brest on 22 June and complete its journey in Minsk on 4 July, the press service of the Council of the Republic of Belarus told BelTA.

The fifth season of the project includes visits to major memorial complexes, Brest Hero Fortress, Khatyn, and the Mamayev Kurgan memorial, as well as meetings with veterans, historians and public officials.


The Memory Train is a large-scale international cultural and educational project initiated by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia.


This year, nearly 12,000 Belarusian 10th-graders competed for the opportunity to represent the country in the Memory Train project.
