Belarus has increased export duties on certain petroleum products since March

Since March 1, Belarus has increased export duties on some petroleum products exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. The relevant resolution of the Council of Ministers dated February 28, 2025 No. 122 was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal on March 4.

According to the document, the export customs duty rate for 1 ton of liquefied petroleum gases is set at $8.3 (previously it was $7.5), for 1 ton of ethane, butane and isobutane - $7.4 (previously it was $6.7).

Export duty rates remain zero for crude oil, straight-run gasoline, propylene trimers and tetramers, light and medium distillates, diesel fuel, commercial gasoline, benzene, toluene, xylenes, fuel oil, lubricating oils, spent petroleum products, petroleum gel and paraffin, petroleum coke and petroleum bitumen.

The document came into force on 1 March.
