Map of Belarusian roads for transit truckers updated

17:43, 29 April

The map depicting what roads transit truckers may use to cross Belarus has been updated in line with the Council of Ministers' resolution No.171 on measures to curb the spread of the infection caused by the coronavirus COVID-19. The map specifies where transit truckers can stop for meals and recreation and what gas stations they can use for refueling, the press service of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry told BelTA.

BelTA reported earlier that drivers of trucks travelling in transit across Belarus are required to stop for recreation, meals, and for refueling their trucks only in specific locations. Transport Inspection officials hand out maps with these locations to drivers at the Belarusian-Russian border. The truckers are required to bear in mind the recommendations. The restrictions are supposed to help reduce the number of people the truckers come into contact with.

The list of roads and maps to guide transit truckers are available on the website of the Transport Inspection of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry.
