"Facilitating regional development is one of the priority mechanisms of Union State integration," noted Ella Selitskaya. "The foundation of Belarusian-Russian cooperation is built from regional building blocks – the development of the regions of our countries and the interaction between them within the territory of the Union State. Despite existing challenges, this cooperation continues actively. On the part of the Union State bodies, we strive to establish direct contacts between regions in order to see concrete economic, industrial, social, and humanitarian results," emphasized the Deputy State Secretary of the Union State.
She also spoke about the work on a new program defining the main directions of development in the Union State for the next three years.
"We have already identified over 100 development priorities. For each of them, an implementation plan must be drawn up. I see good prospects for attracting initiatives from the regions, which will help us develop action plans for the development of specific industries," said Ella Selitskaya.
