“Receiving the Made in the Union State certificate is truly a mark of quality in the Union State. A number of enterprises in our country have already received such certificates. We are now actively working on processing new applications,” Yelena Morgunova noted.
This status is awarded to products created with the direct involvement of Russian and Belarusian specialists, with a certain level of localization. “Localization of components must be at least 50% (with no less than 25% contributed by each country). The product must also be manufactured according to standards in force in the Union State. The State Committee for Standardization conducts a strict verification of all requirements specified in the regulation on the Made in the Union State," the head of the committee emphasized.
In addition, the State Committee for Standardization organizes more than 10 national competitions, with the State Quality Mark being the pinnacle among them. There is also a competition for the government quality excellence award, in which the winner is not a specific product but rather the enterprise itself, recognized for achieving the highest quality standards.
“In 2026, one of the criteria for this award became the lean manufacturing system. An enterprise that implements systemic lean manufacturing management can qualify for this award. Incidentally, Minsk Tractor Plant was the first to receive a certificate from an officially accredited body for implementing this system. It is a rather complex process. A corresponding standard has been developed. It monitors 14 criteria of lean manufacturing, and the enterprise itself chooses which of these to seek accreditation for. This system allows for increased labor productivity, reduced costs, identification of hidden reserves, improved quality and occupational safety and also enhanced overall comfort and efficiency,” Yelena Morgunova noted.
