The forum dedicated to Standardization Day in Minsk became a platform for professional dialogue, in which more than 200 specialists from various sectors of the economy took part.
"In the context of accelerating scientific and technological progress, a standard is becoming not just a tool for ensuring quality," noted the State Secretary of the Union State. "It is also a crucial instrument of industrial policy and economic development, and of protecting the market of the Union State."
According to Sergei Glazyev, the task of regulators today is to work to ensure that voluntary standards function and serve as an important tool for supporting the competitiveness of Belarusian and Russian goods.
"Standards must underlie all developments that define requirements for safety, consumer properties, and product quality," emphasized Sergei Glazyev. "Therefore, the entire system of instruments must be linked into a single whole and provide our citizens and our economy with strict requirements for compliance with the proper level of product quality," summarized the State Secretary of the Union State, emphasizing that this is precisely what became the basis for the creation of the Committee on Standardization and Quality of the Union State, which has already begun its practical work.
